Summer 2023 - the first week of Haileybury International Summer School gets off to a flying start

  Evening activities bounced along nicely as the Summer School pupils enjoyed Zorbing on the Haileybury pitches this week. The Kitchen will filled with the delicious aroma of baking this week as the pupils began their gastronomic competition with shortbread.  From bows to butterflies, large and small, the biscuits all tasted delicious.   Cooking up a storm There was a clear winner on Monday, though, as Tomas took the wooden spoon prize as star baker or the day.    Out on the pitches for Focus Group time Busy in Arts & Crafts  Stepping out in Dance Class in the traditional surroundings of Bradbury Hall   Assistant Activity Manager, Joey strikes a pose Cup cake wars in Bake-Off   Another Star Baker!

Summer Puddings & Chocolate Eclairs - a Baker's Dream

  It was a close-run competition.  The judges filled up on not one but two tasty British puddings, although there can be only one winner...  Nana's juicy summer pudding was today's runner up in The Great British Bake-Off But today's winner is Julia with her fabulous pudding and tasty chocolate eclairs

It's Day 1 at the Summer School - Bake-Off, sport, and much-needed refreshments all round

It's the first full day at Haileybury International Summer School in a very un-British 30 degree heat.  Lessons begin, lunch is served and it's sport and activity time.  Well done to  Anna for winning The Great British Bake-Off round 1 with her delicious shortbread!
